Yes, the Mach E and Hyundai Ioniq are completely electric. This means that there is no need to fill it up with gas!

On a full charge, the Ford Mach E can drive between 200 - 240 miles. The Ioniq and the Premium Mach E have a range of 230-266 miles when fully charged.

Yes. Both models will get you from Skagway to Emerald Lake…and back to Skagway with no problem. The drive is 145 miles round trip. We allow you to drive 175 miles during your day with the rental car. This will ensure that you have plenty of charge to get you there and back!

In order to rent our vehicles, you need to be over the age of 25. You will need to show your license and proof of insurance upon your day of arrival.

It is not required to purchase the Collision Damage Waiver UNLESS you are from a country outside of the United States or Canada.

The state of Alaska requires all vehicles be insured. We provide liability coverage to meet the state minimum but you must provide physical damage coverage through your own personal insurance, or by purchasing our Collision Damage Waiver.

You can purchase our Collision Damage Waiver, which costs $50 per day.

With this waiver, the maximum out of pocket for any damages would be $1,000 (as long as you are in compliance with the rental agreement).

We have one Graco SlimFit 3 in 1 car seat available. It can be used as a rear-facing harness, forward-facing harness, and highback booster.
We also have one standard booster seat available.

If you need more than one car seat, you will need to bring them with you.

Our shop is located in the Klondike Electric Bicycles building on the corner of 5th Avenue and State Street. We are approximately a 15-minute walk from the cruise ship terminals.

Because of the nature of the car, we need to be able to go over the details of the car with you. Therefore, we are unable to leave it at the dock for you. However, we will bring you back to your ship at the end of the day.

While a lot of car fanatics might argue the fact, we think the Mach E is even better than a Mustang! It actually brings in all of the best features of the Mustang (get up and go) and a crossover vehicle (it is roomy and stylish inside)!

Both the Mach E and Ioniq will fit five adults. It is more spacious and comfortable than you might imagine!

There is always a good chance to spot wildlife while traveling the Klondike Highway!

Be on the lookout for bears, lynx, mountain goats, Dall sheep, fox, porcupines, arctic ground squirrels, marmots, caribou…and even an occasional moose if you are lucky!

In order to cross the US and Canadian borders, you will need to show your passport.

A full refund will be issued for any reservations cancelled up to 48 hours prior to your schedule rental.

If your ship is unable to make it to Skagway for any reason, you will be given a full refund.

Refunds typically take 7-10 days to show on your account.

Currently, we only have one rental car in our fleet. Therefore, we strongly recommend booking the car prior to your arrival.
